Many project requests my clients have had of me came about as a result of mergers, acquisitions and divestment activity. Clients find themselves with a need for an experienced professional to prepare and perform any number of ‘ad hoc’ services for a limited and critical period of time. While the company may have some of the required expertise on hand in the form of ‘permanent’ employees; they find it more effective to hire an independent contractor to focus on their specific needs associated with the new activity.
